This home was used as a rental property for many years and over time experienced seepage through the block foundation walls. Being a finished basement, this wasn't too noticeable until the home transferred owners recently. Given the volume of rain in 2023, they quickly noted a musty smell coming from the basement space and shortly after the next rain storm, water coming into the basement.

Advanced Basement Systems was called to the property in Bothwell to give a quote and to explain what was happening. We determined it was standard seepage and proposed a fix. The homeowner opted to gut the entire basement as the finishings were in need of updating, along with the fact they were riddled with mold.

Rob and his crew showed up and made the work happen! We completed a full-perimeter WaterGuard system, along with a sump system that included our UltraSump Battery Back-Up unit. Finally, we installed a Sani Dry Sedona to help humidity levels stay where they need to be (and to help freshen up that musty air!).

The basement is dry, and renovations on the home can continue. Great job Team ABS!
