Advanced Basement Systems Case Studies: Repairing a Sagging Floor in Bothwell, ON

Monday, January 6th, 2020 by Ben Bates

The owners of this home in Kent County began noticing some sagging and and “bouncy feeling”  in their floors. The sagging not only affected the floors, but also gaps between the ceiling and walls and the walls and floors were becoming noticeable.

When our inspector examined the crawl space, it was evident that the home lacked the proper support.

Our team installed a cross beam along with our SmartJacks™ crawl space support system. Made with corrosion-resistant, galvanized steel, these supports are installed on a concrete footing, which helps to prevent future settlement. This system is also adjustable, should the need arise to change the height.

If you’re experiencing slopping, soft or “bouncy” feeling floors, call today for a FREE inspection and written estimate for repair. 1-866-277-1277
