Attic Insulation Photo Album: Garage Attic Cellulose - Kingsville, ON
Most garages are built without insulation or a proper vapour barrier. Because the garage attic is often open to the rest of the home’s attic, this can lead to heat loss and reduced efficiency throughout the house.
In this project, the homeowner chose not to add a spray foam vapour barrier to the attic floor, but our team still made important upgrades. We installed new baffles to improve airflow and then applied 17" of blown-in cellulose insulation. The result is a much warmer, more energy-efficient space with protection that also benefits the rest of the home.
Before
The garage attic needs baffles, damming and insulation.
Baffles and Damming
The fiberglass damming is to keep cellulose from going down into the soffit while we're blowing it in the attic.
That's a Wrap
We're at 17" throughout the space.
Finshed
Our high-quality cellulose has been blown-in and is all set!
