The house had an older sump system with small liner, 1/3 HP pump and a battery back-up system. When it rained hard the system could not keep up to the volume of water and resulted in basement flooding.
Advanced Basement Systems installed the Triple Safe System which includes a 1/3 HP primary pump, a ½ HP secondary pump and a battery back-up sump pump should the power go out. The pumps in this system are connected to 2 separate discharge lines to help prevent a single line blockage. This system will provide the coverage needed should the heavy rains come back year over year!
Call Advanced Basement Systems if your sump system is old and needs an update.
Before
The home was showing signs of water seepage and had a single sump pump system in the basement. The homeowner wanted more protection to alleviated the dampness and the security knowing the system would continue to work during power outages.
After
Advanced Basement Systems installed their proven Water Guard system including thermal barrier wall protection to drain water away from the walls. To provide the protection requested a sump system with battery backup was included. The UltraSump battery backup will remove up to 41,500 litres of water on a single full charge should the power go out.
Give Advanced Basement a call if you are concerned about water protection in your home.
Before
The homeowner called us due to high humidity in the basement. Inspection revealed an open sump pit system. Open sumps allow water to evaporate in the space which increases the humidity levels throughout the home.
After:
Advanced Basement Systems installed their sump pump system which includes a sealed lid and rubber grommets to prevent water vapour in the basement. The lid has easy access for service. The homeowners included a Sani Dry Sedona Air System, which will allow the basement to remain dry all year.
Call Advanced Basement Systems if you have a damp, smelly basement!
We installed a new liner, lid and pump at this sump location in a St. Thomas home. There was also floor-wall joint seepage present, so we installed our WaterGuard drainage system, which takes groundwater seepage to the sump pump. Our ThermalDry vapour barrier in seen on the walls.
Great work Jefferson, Jose and Nathan!
Problem: Even newer homes can have problem basements. This basement often felt damp and smelled musty. Excess water vapour was entering the space from the unsealed sump pump lid.
Solution: To help control humidity, we installed the super quiet and efficient SaniDry™ Sedona Dehumidifier. It’s connected directly to their updated sump pump system, so with regular maintenance, these homeowners will never have to worry about excess moisture or a damp feeling basement again.
