Sump Pumps Photo Album: New Sump with 3 Pumps - Belle River, ON
This Belle River homeowner had just moved into their new house and wanted a reliable sump system installed. Having trusted Advanced Basement Systems at their previous residence, they knew exactly who to call for the job.
We replaced the existing sump pump and water-powered backup with our TripleSafe Sump System. This system includes a durable liner, airtight two-piece lid, two submersible pumps set at different levels, and a battery backup pump for ultimate protection.
The secondary pump is tied into a dedicated discharge line that exits to a concrete splash pad. This “emergency/daylight” discharge line is designed to keep water moving even if the storm drains are overwhelmed. Without this safeguard, pumps can deadhead against backed-up storm lines, often leading to basement flooding.
Now this home is protected by the most comprehensive sump system on the market, giving the homeowner peace of mind in their new space.
Before
The lid is not airtight, the water back-up doesn't have its own discharge line and there's only one exit path for the water.
TripleSafe
We kept the primary pump into the existing discharge line. The new secondary submersible and back-up system are on the daylight/emergency line.
Two-Piece Lid
The lid is in two pieces, so the pumps can be easily accessed. There's a one-way floor drain, gromets around pipe and wire penetrations and water alarm that would sound off if the water rose above all three pumps. The option to have two batteries is also available.
Daylight/Emergency Discharge
The discharge comes outside to a concrete splash pad. This will only engage if there's a power outage, if the primary pump fails/cannot keep up or if the storms/sewers fill up.
