Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: Crawl Space Encapsulation & Spray Foam - Goderich, ON
In this project, our team fully transformed a crawl space in Goderich, Ontario. The work began with the careful removal of all old insulation from the floor joists, along with debris and unwanted materials, to create a clean, safe area for the installation.
Once prepped, we encapsulated the space, applied closed-cell spray foam insulation, a high powered dehumidifier and finished with a protective coating of DC315 fire-retardant paint. This process not only improved the home’s energy efficiency but also created a healthier, more durable environment that will stand the test of time.
Before
The paper-backed insulation up in the floor joists needs to be removed. This will not do anything for a home, as the thermal break (insulation) needs to be where outside air meets inside- which would be the foundation walls and headers.
Debris
Lots of debris, both organic and not, to come out of this dirt crawl space!
Encapsulation & Insulation
Our CleanSpace with closed-cell spray foam insulation is a one-two punch knockout for dirt crawl space issues!
Tight
Not all dirt crawl spaces have head room; in fact most are tighter like this one! But our team is getting it done here.
