Sump Before
Any lid on a sump pump which is not sealed to the slab is not airtight. The lid to the right in this photo has a slot to allow it to be put in place around the discharge line. Other than preventing some objects from falling in, it servers very little purpose.

Sump After
The airtight lid is fastened to the slab and is also sealed. If you need to access the pump, the window portion of the lid is on hinges.

Mitigation Exit
The 3" pipe is always labelled as a Radon Reduction System. We commonly go through the header of the basement or crawl space when we exit.

Fan Motor
We use high quality parts and none more important than our fan! It runs 24/7 and comes in different models, depending on the size of the home, penetration points, etc. Each system is a custom design and layout.

Exhaust Point
The exhaust point of the radon mitigation system needs to be thoughtfully placed. We don't want it under a window nor next to a sitting area. The systems makes noise out of the exhaust, and while minor it can reverberate off of a shed or even a neighbour's home! We take care to design these right for your home.
