Waterproofing and Sump Pump Upgrade - Blenheim, ON

The home was built with block walls, a poured concrete floor with a round sump pit. The pit included a pedestal sump pump and no lid to seal it. Over time the walls developed seepage as shown and the basement felt damp.

Advanced Basement Systems installed their Water Guard basement drainage with a vapour barrier to take care of the water vapour on the walls. The owner elected to use the existing sump pit with a new pump, sealed lid and battery back-up from us. The sump is now sealed as it should be, so the basement will have a chance to dry out!
