Wet Basement Repair in London, ON

Advanced Basement Systems was contacted at a home show by the owner of the house. The home is older with a 5 foot high crawl space. The foundation walls are a combination of stone and brick built over a roughly finished concrete floor. Humidity levels were consistently high allowing mould and mildew to grow.

The solution to fix this area was a complete encapsulation. Clean Space membrane was used for the entire floor, along with 3” of spray foam on all exterior walls into the header space. This will seal any water or moisture from entering the interior. A complete drainage system of Waterguard was included on all exterior walls to divert any water to 2 sump pumps to remove the water seeping through the walls. Finally, a very efficient and high performing dehumidifier was added to keep the space dry all year long.
