Waterproofing a Basement Cold Storage Area in Essex County, ON

Problem:  Although these home owners only used this part of their basement as cold storage, they were frustrated by the continual leaky walls and the resulting musty smell and damp feel. During the hot and humid summer months, their entire home smelled bad and felt damp.

Solution: Our team:

• Waterproofed the two leaky walls
• Installed a perimeter floor drain to direct any penetrating water into the sump pump
• Installed the ThermalDry® Wall system which serves as both a vapor barrier and a way to redirect water leaking into the new drainage system

Now, not only is their basement dry, their home is healthier as well!
