A Permanent Solution for a Very Leaky Basement in Port Burwell, ON

Problem:  These homeowners had two walls that leaked nearly every time it rained. Because their basement was unfinished, and this area used just for storage, they never really paid too much attention to the wet basement.

However, over time the family was annoyed and embarrassed by the constant musty smell which was throughout their entire home. They also had to be careful not to leave any items of importance in this area, as they would be damaged by leaking water whenever it rained.

Solution: We were happy to provide this family with a permanent solution to their wet, musty basement! We installed a perimeter drain along the leaking walls which will direct any leaking water into their new, efficient and powerful sump pump system. We finished it off with ThermalDry® Basement Radiant Wall Barrier which not only keeps the basement warmer in the winter, it is inorganic (mould and mildew resistant) and helps direct water into the newly installed perimeter drain.
