Problem: The homeowner required improved access to their crawl space.
Solution: We installed a steel window well, as part of the crawl space access is below grade and added an EverLast crawl space access door which seals tightly for an ideal crawl space environment.

Problem: These homeowners had an old sump pump system and pit which was open, creating a humid environment in the home. They were also experiencing some drainage problems and cracks in their basement floor.
Solution: We successfully installed a new SuperSump+™ Sump Pump System. We moved the location of their sump pump, filled in the old pit, filled the floor cracks, and improved their drainage system.

The home was built with block walls, a poured concrete floor with a round sump pit. The pit included a pedestal sump pump and no lid to seal it. Over time the walls developed seepage as shown and the basement felt damp.
Advanced Basement Systems installed their Water Guard basement drainage with a vapour barrier to take care of the water vapour on the walls. The owner elected to use the existing sump pit with a new pump, sealed lid and battery back-up from us. The sump is now sealed as it should be, so the basement will have a chance to dry out!
If you have an old sump system and would like to upgrade, give Advanced Basement Systems a call.
Before:
Radon Gas is an invisible, odorless, radioactive gas in soil and rocks as uranium decays overtime. When it decomposes it will travel through the dirt and seek any openings in the lower levels of the home. An open sump pit along with the underground tile running into the pit are very easy ways for the gas to enter the basement.
After:
Advanced Basement Systems installed one of their pump systems to seal the open pit and of course installed a radon mitigation fan and pipe with the project. The system can be designed incorporating surrounding obstacles in the home.
Get your home tested for Radon Gas levels and contact Advanced Basement Systems if the results are above safe levels. Call to find out more!
All homes in Canada have Radon Gas in them. The concentration levels vary from one house to another even if they are similar design. Radon Gas will move through the soil and escape outside or into a home through any opening it can find that touches the ground.
Advanced Basement Systems will work with your existing home and design a system that will mitigate the higher concentration levels of Radon Gas.
Get your home tested and call Advanced Basement Systems if mitigation is required. We service London, Chatham, Windsor, Sarnia and all areas nearby. We will give you a safe home.
